Pool reports for the week ending the 19th September 2011.
All pools have continued to fish well with all baits going. 100lb+ weights a plenty by both match and pleasure anglers.
Top Pool
Pellet to the island for f1 carp, ide, roach and bream.
Paste is still working down the edges at 4m for the larger f1 carp, mirror an common carp.
For the angler that like fast and furious action go for maggot on the deck and later on in the session up in the water for large bags of f1 carp, roach, ide, bream and skimmers.
Pleasure anglers have reported back large bags of silver fish to 80lb.
Method feeder with dead red maggot is still producing large mirrors and common carp up to 14lb.
Pellet and corn at 6m to 8m has been producing f1’s mirrors and common carp.
Maggot and chopped worm on the deck for silver fish. Large perch are now starting to show with perch being caught up to 1.5lb.
Paste down the edges has been producing large mirrors, commons and ghosties late on in the session.
Dead red maggot feeder to the island has been producing good bags of mirrors and commons.
Caster at 8m on the deck has been producing large bags of silverfish and f1 carp, with the fish coming shallow i the afternoon.
Paste and corn down the edges has been producing large f1 carp, mirror and common carp.
Pellet at 6m or 8m down for mixed bags of f1’s bream, roach and carp.
Pellet to the island has been producing f1’s, mirrors and common carp.
Meat over hemp or pellet over both at 8m to 10m or down the edges late on in the session has been producing large bags of silvers, mirrors, f1 carp and bream.
Red maggot at 6m to 8m up in the water with constant feeding has been catching large bags of f1 carp, skimmers and roach.
Paste at 3m straight out in front and 4m down the edges over hemp is still producing good bags of f1 carp up to 3lb.
Congratulations to Jon Arthur who triumphed in the Angling Times County champs Semi Final on Saturday. He fished red maggot on the deck at 6m to 8m. The fish came up in the water 18” deep for a bag of 106-12 of all f1 carp.
In general the New pool is responding well to maggot and pellet, with club anglers reporting to the shop that they have caught on pellet and meat down the edges taking bags of up to 70lb of fish.
Meat over hemp down the edges has been tempting larger f1’s which are being followed in by bigger carp.
Paste is still performing at 6m down the track and down the edges for mirrors and common carp which were the target fish this week.
Caster, maggot or small cubes of meat down the edge have tempted the barbel up to 2lb to feed, with pleasure anglers reporting bags of 80-100lb this week.
Pellet or maggot shallow at 10m is not to be ignored as it has also produced up in the water late on in the sessions.

Pellet, maggot or corn at 8m and 4m straight in front for stockies, bream to 4lb, tench and roach.
Matches are being won with mixed bags of over 100lb.
Pellet shallow at 6m has produced weights by pleasure anglers of 80lb to 100lb. The fish are being caught up in the water mid way through the session.

Small cubes of meat on the first shelf have tempted the barbel, with the biggest one weighed in this week being at 2.5lb.
In general, most baits are going on this lake.
